Going for Ten Thousand is a student-run organization that fights for the 10,000 people in Wisconsin fighting multiple sclerosis. Since January 2010, we’ve raised more than $50,000 for the National MS Society- Wisconsin Chapter.

GF10k started as Becky Hall’s project to raise $10,000 for multiple sclerosis during her freshman year at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Doctors diagnosed Becky’s mom with MS in the summer of 2000. In January 2010, she lost Charlie Siewert, a close family friend, to the disease. Shortly before he passed away, Charlie’s wife Peggy challenged Becky to raise $10,000. She accepted the challenge. Learn more about GF10k.

Thank to everyone who joined GF10k at the Nitty Gritty restaurant on Tuesday, March 19. We’re proud to announce that we raised more than $900 to benefit MS Run the US!
